Two-Way Bilingual Program

Dual language education integrates language minority and language majority students for academic instruction in two languages. One of the languages is the native language and one is a second or third language.

Identification for Two-Way Bilingual Model

  • Spanish speakers are identified as bilingual students
  • English speakers qualify by scoring fluent on the English oral test
  • English speakers agree to a three-year commitment to the program
  • Parent participation

  • Blanton Elementary First - 1 classroom
  • Blanton Elementary Second - 1 classroom
  • Montgomery Elementary Kinder - 1 classroom
  • Montgomery Elementary First - 1 classroom
  • Stark Elementary Kinder- 2 classrooms
  • Stark Elementary First - 2 classrooms
  • Stark Elementary Second - 1 classroom
  • Thompson Elementary Kinder - 1 classroom
  • Thompson Elementary First - 1 classroom
