Isabella Piña-Hinojosa, Ed.D Director, Program Compliance 972-968-6149
Isabella received her doctorate from the University of North Texas, Department of Teacher Education and Administration in Curriculum and Instruction. She also holds a Master's of Education and Professional Certification in Administration from Texas Woman's University and her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Bil -ESL from North Texas State University. Isabella joined the C-FB team in 1984 as one of the district's first bilingual classroom teacher in the intermediate grades, launched the district's first ESL self-contained Newcomer classroom at Good and Kent Elementary.
Isabella is a professional member of the Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development, Council of Educators for Students with Disabilities, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Lambda Theta, Texas Council of Women School Executives, Bilingual-ESL Ed. Association of the Metroplex, Texas Association for Bil-ESL Education, National Assoc for Bil-ESL Ed., Teachers of English for Students of Other Languages and Texas Teachers of English for Students of Other Languages.
Isabella is on the Advisory Board for Richland College and works closely with Texas Education Agency on educational issues related with English Language Learners. She is a founding member of a national advocacy group for English language learners. http://www.elladvocates.org

Elsa Anderson ESL Coordinator, Instructional Services 972-968-6143
Elsa comes from Lewisville ISD where she taught in bilingual and monolingual primary and intermediate classrooms. More recently she served as the assistant to the Elementary Language Arts Director in LISD, where she provided district-wide staff development and mentored teachers at the classroom level. She also served as coordinator for an Academics 2000 Reading Grant, where she developed the STARS class (Students and Teachers Achieving Reading Success), a balanced literacy class for educators. Elsa is a National Writing Project coach. She is also a reading specialist and has presented at conferences for the Bilingual/ESL Education Association of the Metroplex, the Texas State Reading Association, the New Jersey Writing Project, and others. She has collaborated with the Texas Education Agency on item analysis committees for Spanish TAKS and reviewing the TAKS Study Guide in Spanish.
Currently, Elsa is a doctoral student in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Administration at the University of North Texas. She holds a Master of Education in Reading, Principal certification, and additional professional certification in the areas of Bilingual/ESL, Elementary and Secondary Reading, Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.
Elsa is the president of the Lewisville Literacy Council and a member of the Texas State Reading Association, the International Reading Association, the Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development, the Texas Council of Teachers of English and Language Arts, and the Council of Reading and English Supervisors of Texas.
